Unleash Your Wicked Side: Villains Wanted!

Calling all villains! Spotlight Players is holding auditions for A Night of Villainy, a wickedly entertaining musical-theatre cabaret directed by Mirna Drake, with musical direction by Max Kaiser.

Ursula the Sea Witch is hosting her annual Halloween party, but when her villainous guests begin arguing over who has the greatest song, classic and contemporary musical-theatre baddies face off in an impromptu sing-off.

Auditions will be held:

August 8 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
August 10 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Please prepare a 32-bar song cut, bring clearly marked sheet music for the accompanist, and come ready to improvise, make bold choices, and unleash your wicked side. Please note that this cabaret celebrates villains from across musical theatre and is not exclusively Disney-themed.

Rehearsals will take place Tuesdays, Fridays, and select Saturdays during scheduled time slots, with performances on October 9 and 10 at 8:00 PM. Performers may not appear in every number, but everyone is encouraged to participate in the ensemble songs. Audience members are invited to dress to impress—or terrify—with Halloween costume contests for children and adults during intermission.
